$10,000 Reward Offered for Arrest and Conviction of the Killer of Police Officer Clifton Lewis

The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation offers an automatic, standing $10,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone who shoots or shoots at a Chicago police officer.  Tipsters can call 1-888-YPO-SHOT, which is manned around the clock by Chicago police detectives.

Officer Clifton Lewis, an eight year veteran of the CPD assigned to the 015th District Tactical Team, was fatally wounded during a robbery on Wednesday, December 29, 2011 while working a second job at a convenience store in the 1200 block of N. Austin.

During the course of the robbery, Officer Lewis, age 41, acted in his official capacity as a Chicago Police Department officer and was shot and killed by one of the offenders. Help is needed by the public to bring his killers to justice.

Officer Lewis left behind a young daughter, a fiancée, a loving family and many close friends.
