Officer Clifton Lewis, an eight year veteran of the
CPD assigned to the 015th District Tactical Team, was fatally
wounded during a robbery on Wednesday, December 29, 2011 while working a second job at a convenience store in the 1200 block
of N. Austin.
During the course of the robbery,
Officer Lewis, age 41, acted in his official capacity as a Chicago Police Department officer and was shot and killed by one
of the offenders. Help is needed by the public to bring his killers to justice.
Officer Lewis left behind a young daughter, a fiancée, a loving family and many close friends. |
