"Here....a person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose,
especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life."

psofbanner.gif

Each one of us owes our life to everyday heroes that surround us.  These heroes are the ones that ensure the safety of our children, our property, and promote the well being of the world in which we live.  Men and women who go to work each day not knowing what that day will bring or what it's circumstances will require. For some, the call of duty will require their lives.

We might not wear a badge, but we too have a duty.  And while we cannot restore life to those that have fallen, and we cannot undo that which has been done, we, as the American citizens being protected, must give back.  We must take action in serving and protecting the loved ones of those who have sacrificed greatly in efforts to serve and protect us.

We cannot return husbands to wives, fathers to children, or sons to families -- we cannot shoulder the burden, therefore let us partner together in efforts to at the very least lessen the load.

Chicago Police Memorial Foundation
Dear friends:
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is proud to announce our annual Drive to Remember Memorial License Plate program.
We will reserve a newly designed 2009 limited edition collectors' license plate in your name. Just follow the directions on the 2009 application and get it to us no later than July 10, 2009. A complimentary set of Chicago Police Memorial Foundation license plate frames will accompany each purchase to commemorate our 5th Anniversary.
The license plates will be valid for display on your vehicle from September 08 through November 06, 2009. Plates will be $50.00 and available for pick-up after August 31 at the Chicago Patrolmen's Federal Credit Union, 1359 W. Washington, Chicago, IL. 60607. For an additional $10.00 per set, we will ship directly to you.  License plate numbers will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.  Numbers available after the 2008 renewals are processed will be issued sequentially from lowest to highest.

REMINDER: Application forms must include a legible copy of your valid 2009/10 Illinois vehicle registration form. This will require those with an AUGUST, SEPTEMBER or OCTOBER expiration date to renew early at an Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) facility. This requirement is mandated by the SOS. A currency exchange may not have the early renewal capability.
Please direct any questions about the license plate to the Foundation office at
312-499-8899 or e-mail to info@cpdmemorial.org
Go to our web site, www.cpdmemorial.org, for current news and future updates regarding specific license plate pickup dates.
Thank your for your continued support!
